True Religion

“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”
James 1:27 KJV

Religion is not about Cathedrals or the Pastor getting a new jet or a third Bentley. Religion is not about what God can do for you, it’s about what you are willing to allow God to do, through you. True prosperity has nothing to do with financial gains – it is about having a great big God that loves you, it’s about health, happiness, joy, family, friends and giving back. Abstaining from the lust of the flesh and the pride of life and taking glory in Gods providence always. This is true wealth and leads to a quality life.

“Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.”

‭‭Habakkuk‬ ‭3:17-19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    1. If churches operated as the Word of God instructs – people could come to God instead of the government when in need. The Church could be such a huge witness for Christ if they would adhere to the given Gospel plan of feeding the poor and caring for the sick, incarcerated, widowed and fatherless. The Church fails in this area.
